There is a reason why the American Board of OB/GYN has proposed a new subspecialty described as Female Pelvic Health and Pelvic Reconstruction. Vaginal birth has been responsible for many female issues such as pelvic prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, vaginal pain with intercourse, pelvic support anomalies as well as the disruption of normal vaginal structures. At times, it seems that vaginal birth is detrimental to pelvic female pelvic health.
Some women like the way they look and the features they were born with while others want to improve the way they look with cosmetic surgery. Not all women were born the same in the vaginal area and some want to change the way they look in that area. The vagina is subject not only to traumatic accidents but the vagina also undergoes enormous trauma during vaginal birth. The trauma also distorts the normal function of the vagina as an organ essential to sexual well being. The vagina needs to be sexually functional, erotic and essential for psychological health.
The media is full of issues related to restoring vaginal functional and cosmetic surgery. The demand for pelvic reconstruction is increasing not only to restore normal function to the vagina but also to cosmetically restore the vagina and surrounding tissue. No longer are women tolerant of pelvic pain, painful intercourse, and functional disruption of the normal anatomy and decreased sexual activity and response. I have been repairing many pelvic and sexual syndromes that have been associated with prolonged and traumatic vaginal births and the use of episiotomies and forceps deliveries. As a Urogynecologist I have performed over 3000 thousand pelvic reconstruction procedures to correct urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, organ prolapse, pelvic relaxation, pelvic pain, and cosmetic procedures that eliminate the scars, pain, dysfunction and restores youth to the vagina.
There are many new surgical techniques that can not only restore functionality of the vagina that was present before vaginal birth, but also enhance the sexual response. In Europe, many women who have had childbirth have vaginaplasty at the same time they obtained a tubal ligation or are finished with childbearing. Today we are able to restore the youthful function and response with minimal discomfort and intervention. Vaginaplasty involves the restoration of the labia minora, labia majora, restoration of the vaginal axis, vaginal tightening, clitoral enhancement, and G Spot enhancement (using your own fat cells) for a more gratifying relationship.
Dr. Cappielo can solve the problems that plague women and has the unique skill to address all the issues important to women.
